Connecting AGS Revenue Sync

This is a private application. It connects only to the QuickBooks Online company belonging to Advanced Green Solutions LLC, and only staff of Advanced Green Solutions LLC can connect it. It is not available to other businesses.

What connecting does

Connecting authorises AGS Revenue Sync to read invoice records from our QuickBooks Online company so that revenue can be matched to the corresponding service visit in our internal job records. It requests the accounting scope only (com.intuit.quickbooks.accounting) and requires an administrator of the QuickBooks company to approve it.

How to connect

  1. Open the AGS Scheduled Jobs Feed project in Google Apps Script.
  2. Run the authorizeQuickBooks function.
  3. Open the authorisation link it writes to the execution log.
  4. Sign in as an administrator of the Advanced Green Solutions QuickBooks Online company and approve the request.
  5. A confirmation page will appear once the connection succeeds.

The connection is a one-time step. The access token refreshes itself afterwards, so this does not need to be repeated unless the connection is deliberately revoked.

Reconnecting

If the connection is revoked, expires, or the credentials are rotated, repeat the same steps above. Running authorizeQuickBooks when a valid connection already exists reports that the application is already authorised and changes nothing.
